Disc Golf in Worriken - East Belgium
Worriken, Sports and Holiday Park has a disc golf course with 9 holes / baskets and a practice course.
In disc golf, players try to throw a disc (not a frisbee: discs are smaller, more compact, faster and fly further than frisbees) into a basket from a set launch point with as few throws as possible. The player with the fewest throws in a round wins.
Obstacles such as trees, rubbish bins, benches and holiday homes are part of the course and therefore part of the game.
Game flow
- Start : Start at the tee of the first basket.
- Throws: Throw the disc in the direction of the basket. The player whose disc is furthest away from the basket throws first on the next round.
- Goal of the game: The goal of the game is to get the disc into the basket with as few throws as possible.
- Winner: The player with the lowest score after all 9 baskets
Point counting
Each course is labelled with a PAR. A PAR is the score you should achieve on a particular lane.
- Count how many throws you need to reach the basket.
- Compare your number of throws with the PAR value of the lane:
- Under PAR: If you need fewer throws than the PAR, you have played ‘under PAR’. Write 1 minus point on the score sheet for each throw below PAR.
- On PAR: If you need exactly as many throws as the PAR, you have played ‘on PAR’. You write 0 points on the score sheet.
- Over PAR: If you need more throws than the PAR, you have played ‘over PAR’. Write 1 plus point on the score sheet for each throw over PAR.
Total score at the end of the game

After playing all the holes, add up all the points on the score sheet. The player with the lowest total wins the round.

This disc golf set is provided free of charge to overnight guests at the camping, in the holiday homes, in the Sporthouse.
Stay overnight in a holiday cottage on the disc golf course
The disc golf baskets are set up on the wooded property where the holiday cottages are located. The site, which is located on the shores of Lake Bütgenbach, is characterised by extensive open spaces, numerous trees and a natural environment. The Sporthouse and campsite are also close to the disc golf site.
